Processes
Numerous production processes can be used for the production of composite parts: it is possible to obtain parts with very high physical-mechanical properties and a high volumetric percentage of fibres, just as it is possible to obtain parts with lower properties but significantly reduced production costs.
The technologies for the production of composite components vary depending on the shape, dimensions and properties required of the finished component. Depending on the properties to be obtained from a composite part, whether or not it needs to be reproduced or whether continuous production is required, technologies can be distinguished into those using closed moulds or open moulds. They can also be distinguished into continuous or discontinuous, manual or automated. Mates has always been able to help its customers develop and implement such production processes, ensuring that the process is streamlined and fit for purpose.
