Vacuum technologies
In order to obtain high-load composite parts, processes are usually adopted that require a constant and long-lasting vacuum. The vacuum pump must guarantee a high vacuum level in order to achieve the correct surface pressure acting on the laminate. For this reason, together with the leading company in the sector, DVP, we have developed a series of pumps designed for the composites sector that are useful for creating a valid vacuum circuit, without losses and with controlled and constant pressures. In addition to the line of vacuum pumps, we have also decided to add a line of pumping units consisting of one or more lubricated vacuum pumps complete with electric motor and exhaust oil separator filter and a horizontal vacuum-tight welded steel tank complete with condensate drain valve.
VACUUM PUMPS
LC-C series vacuum pumps, specific for the production of advanced composites, are used when a higher final pressure is required and the internal parts may come into contact with vapours from aggressive solvents. They can operate continuously, within certain pressure ranges or connected to vessels to be evacuated, the volume of which is proportionate to the pump capacity. Long-term use at atmospheric pressure is not recommended. Lubrication allows water vapour to be sucked in; to prevent this from condensing, there is a device called a ‘ballast’, which introduces air during the compression phase and modifies the saturation pressure of the vapour, preventing condensation.

VACUUM SYSTEMS
CPA vacuum systems units are mainly used in centralised plants as vacuum sources where the tank has a safety function in the event of a power failure. These units consist of various components including one or more lubricated vacuum pumps complete with electric motor and exhaust de-oiling filter; a horizontal welded steel vacuum tank complete with condensate drain valve; an FCM-type cartridge filter to protect the pump from any impurities present in the system; an electrical control panel (standard power supply 400V 50-60Hz) complete with a main switch lock, emergency button, ammeter protection, pressure sensor and PLC, which allows the pump to be started and operated in manual or automatic mode by managing all the operations for setting and controlling the operating parameters.
