Multiaxial
In carbon-fibre multiaxials, the fibres, in the form of rovings, are arranged parallel in overlapping layers, oriented in the various directions and then stitched with thin filaments to hold them together. These reinforcements are available in different orientations, from the simple biaxial at +/- 45° and at 0/90°, to the more complex quadriaxial with fibres oriented towards the four main axes.
