In order to complete the entire range of vacuum bags Mates is also able to supply silicones and specific machinery for the self-construction of permanent vacuum bags. Moreover, thanks to our partnership with Piekenbrink®, a leading company in the sector, we can offer ready-to-use solutions consisting of moulds and bags made to customer design/specifications. Permanent vacuum bags replace vacuum films conventionally sealed with butyl tape. This innovative system reduces process labour costs by eliminating the time-consuming and difficult vacuum bag sealing phase; being reusable they also totally eliminate the cost of consumables normally used in advanced composite production processes. This family of bags has been specifically designed for autoclave processing, although their inherent quantity and technical requirements also make them suitable for conventional composite part production techniques, such as manual vacuum lay-up and infusion.
