Release agents
The release agents are the barrier to be placed between the mold and the laminate in order to avoid the cohesion and irreversible bonding of the two parts together. Generally, four main types of release agents can be distinguished: wax-based release agents, film-forming release agents, semi-permanent release agents and those in film. Release films have various uses, based on personal needs and creativity, but remember that being films and therefore not perfectly following every type of curved surface, they leave many traces on the final surface. The other three types of release agents have their own uses, specified in the description of each product.
Semi-permanent release agents are used to save time in productions with a high number of pieces. They are also very effective on metal molds and are defined as semi-permanent as they still require restoration every 50-100 molds. Their installation and periodic restoration are operations that require care and perfect cleaning of the surfaces, in order to avoid detachment problems.
