Sealers / Primers

Sealers help protect molds and tooling for composite manufacturing from chemical and physical damage resulting from bonding tendencies, natural in the molding process. They consist of a flexible film with maximum adhesion to the substrate that creates a protective shield on the mold surface. Designed to physically and chemically bond to any “raw” mold surface, they provide the foundation needed to extend the life and enable optimal performance of all Chem-Trend ® semi-permanent release agents. Sealers give a solid gloss finish to most surfaces, reducing break-in time for new molds and restoring worn parts. Designed for use on metal or composite molds, they are compatible with most thermoplastic and thermoset resins.
