Fillers
Mates is able to offer a range of products capable of varying the viscosity of a fluid, they are called thickeners (or fillers). They are basically inert materials (powders or grits) of various origins, to be added to the resins to modify their characteristics (such as viscosity) without altering their chemical reaction. The addition of thickeners to the resin consequently leads to an increase in the volume of the compound, followed in turn by a reduction in the percentage of resin in the mass. The result of this aggregation causes advantages, including the lowering of the isothermal peak (maximum temperature that can be reached during the polymerization process of the resins) and an increase in dimensional stability.
Advantages
- Isothermal peak lowering
- Percentage reduction of resin
- Increased dimensional stability
- Chemical/physical variation
