Vinylester
Vinyl ester resin possesses superior thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance to polyester, characteristics that make it indispensable where superior performance of the GRP part is required. Due to its chemical nature, it is able to guarantee high mechanical properties, high toughness, high chemical and hydrolysis resistance, and high thermal resistance with the ability to guarantee high operating temperatures as well as excellent adhesion to reinforcement fibres. Vinyl ester is widely used in the marine industry as an osmosis barrier or in the construction of high-performance hulls. Due to its characteristics and ease of use, it is ideal not only for glass fibres but also for carbon and aramid fibres.
